Welcome to Bullhead City

Bullhead City has also been referred to as Arizona‘s West Coast because the City is located on the east bank of the Colorado River near the juncture of Arizona, California and Nevada. Bullhead City serves as the economic hub and retail shopping center for Western Mohave County and Southeastern Clark County, Nevada. It’s easily accessible by major highways and a short drive from Los Angeles, Phoenix and Las Vegas. The modern beginnings of the city were revived with the construction of Davis Dam, which broke ground in 1942, but had to be halted because World War II consumed necessary construction materials.

Construction resumed in 1946, a year after the war ended, and the dam was completed in 1950, which impounds Lake Mohave in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The dam is named after the late Arthur Powell Davis, Director of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation from 1914 until 1923. Construction workers on the project lived with their families at the foot of the dam in a community called Davis Camp. Nearby, a town sprang up from the remains of Hardyville to support the growing population. The town was named Bullhead City after a rock island in the Colorado River that resembled the head and shoulders of a bull with large, curved horns. The Bullhead City post office was established in 1946, and the rock was submerged under the rising water of Lake Mohave as it backed up behind Davis Dam in the early 1950s. In the 1960s developers began advertising local subdivisions in Southern California, and the retirement population began to grow. The City’s population has grown from just over 10,000 residents in 1980 to more than 40,000, according to the 2010 Census.

I went and got the $9.95 all you can eat pizza and open salad bar, and they not only offered soup too, but they asked me and my boyfriend which toppings we would like on the pizzas and they would bring them out. Our server, Kristen, was so polite and helpful, very nice attention. The place is nice and they were playing good soothing music at all times. Wonderful place, great food for such a small price and awesome service! Highly recommended!

We had Coliannos cater our dinner this evening for a big family birthday dinner. They were amazing in communication, the food prep, the TASTE of the food, and the price was SUPER good for 25 people! We had lasagna (the best in town), fettuccine Alfredo, salad & garlic bread.

Huge shout out to Coliannos!

I wish I would have taken pictures!

Servings are just right, and the marinara was the talk of the table with it’s deep, rich flavor and perfect texture. There’s not a thing on the menu that we’ve tried that we haven’t enjoyed, and none each of us has enough left over for a delicious leftover. Highly recommend coming by for a meal !

This place has some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had, I had lasagna, my fiance had pizza, it was fresh, cheesy and delicious.. the portion was big enough for me to have some for lunch the next day.a nice salad and some garlic toast came with it..the atmosphere was nice and Italian..I didn’t have wine but I overheard others ordering it and they seemed happy with it..if you like Italian, I highly recommend trying coliannos.
